Lakeside does not make decisions for clients and does not implement employment actions. All decisions regarding hiring, discipline, termination, compensation, policies, procedures, investigations, accommodations, and compliance matters remain solely the responsibility and discretion of the business owner or operator.
Clients are responsible for determining whether and how to implement any guidance provided by Lakeside.
3. No Legal Advice or Legal Representation
Lakeside is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. Information provided through services, written materials, or conversations should not be construed as legal advice.
Clients are encouraged to consult qualified legal counsel regarding employment decisions, particularly when legal risk may be present.
4. No Employer, Joint Employer, or Co-Employment Relationship
Engagement with Lakeside does not create an employer-employee, joint employer, or co-employment relationship. Lakeside acts solely as an independent consultant and does not supervise employees, control day-to-day operations, or act on behalf of a client in any employment capacity.
5. Service Availability and Hours
Lakeside provides services outside of standard business hours.
Services are generally available Monday through Friday during the following time windows:
Services are not provided during standard daytime business hours. Availability may vary based on scope of work, response needs, and prior scheduling. Ongoing HR advisory services will adhere to a 24 hour response timeline.
6. No Guarantees or Outcomes
Employment and compliance matters involve inherent risk. Lakeside does not guarantee outcomes, compliance results, or the avoidance of audits, claims, investigations, or litigation. Guidance is provided based on information supplied by the client and professional judgment at the time services are rendered.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Wisconsin law, Lakeside shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of its services or website content.
Any liability, if established, shall be limited to fees paid for the applicable service.
8. Client Responsibility and Reliance
Clients are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information provided to Lakeside. Any reliance on guidance, documents, or recommendations is at the client’s sole discretion and risk.
9. Confidentiality
Lakeside maintains the confidentiality of non-public business and employee information shared during services, except as required by law or authorized by the client.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Lakeside may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the current version.
